Are You A Traveling Man?

Are you a
“travelling man”?

A Freemason is sometimes known as “a travelling man”. A phrase once used for artisans who traveled from place to place to build the great edifices in the ancient world and the wonderous cathedrals of the medieval era.

Today, we as Masons, still see ourselves as travelling men, but now we are travelling the road on a “sacred journey”, like pilgrims did in the past.

“The road interrogates us.The road demands answers: What do you believe? Who are you? How did you become that person? Are you going to be this way forever? Would it matter if you died tonight?”
Charles Foster
